Okay, so I've basically been in this weird on-off relationship with my best guy friend. I love him, really I do. But I don't get to see him as often as I'd like 'cause he works all the time. So I usually go down and talk to him at his work.

Also, I've been looking for a job for the past...2 months or so and I finally got a call-in for an interview yesterday. It also just happened to be the same day as my first Jury Duty Summons day... but that's kinda irrelevant. When I get the call I get super excited and later that night go to visit my guy friend at work to tell him the good news.

It starts off as normal, we talk, he works (partly). When it gets busy, I wait until he's done then we start talking again. At some point, he has to go "into the back" which means he goes through the double doors into a sort of stock area, but he usually comes right back. So I wait.... and wait... and wait... and wait. (just for good measure) Eventually I kinda start to feel like he's avoiding me or something, which is very odd for him. Even the lady he works with comes out, grabs her purse then leaves since it's the end of their shifts. But he doesn't come back. So I leave feeling rejected and depressed.

Ten minutes after I leave I get a text from him saying "I got busted and sent home. I guess I can't have people there visiting me at work." I feel terrible! So I text back "oh hun I'm so sorry. " that sort of thing. About 5 min later he sends "I guess I can't have friends coming in to my work." FRIENDS. FRIENDS?! What kind of connotation is that?! That he only thinks of me as a friend? I don't even know. In his defense, his phone's been acting-up since it got wet at Disneyland... so maybe he didn't get my text? I dunno. Ugh, so frustrating!

So, now I'm afraid he may be mad at me and I can't even go talk to him face-to-face because he'll get in trouble... And I can't call him because his freakin' phone is broken and he doesn't want to spend the money to get a new one!
